Explore the Attractions of the Melbourne to Adelaide Grand Ocean Route

Adelaide and Melbourne in S Australia are within approximately 12 hours reach of each other and there are many wonderful places to explore along the Great Ocean Road that connects the two cities.

For visitors who want to be independent and have the confidence to use the self-drive option one of the best ways to explore the area is by using a minibus charter in Melbourne.

If not and it is possible to hook up with other travellers to form a larger group, perhaps coach hire Adelaide with an experienced driver may be an option.

Although it is possible to do the Adelaide to Melbourne route in one go, that would be to miss out on the many amazing places along the route.

It is worth taking the time to explore Bells Beach, perhaps visit the coastal towns of Lorne and Anglesea, or try to spot Koalas at Kennett River. A walk along the beach in Apollo Bay or a bushwalk in the Otway's are not to be missed.

There are breathtaking views within the Grampian Range to be enjoyed and with a minibus charter Melbourne with the city as the base activities can be planned to cover as long or as short a time as the visitor wants.

Too often when travelling there is too much to cram into the available time and the end result is a mind whirling with images, regrets that there was not enough time to stop when something particularly attracts or an album full of pictures but no clear memory of each place because of the exhaustion of trying to do it all.

Varying the pace can prevent this and with independent transport it is much easier to do. In between the pace can be slowed by exploring the many attractions of Melbourne.

The capital city of Victoria State on the South East coast of Australia is a sophisticated city with a variety of artistic, musical and sporting attractions including the famous annual horserace, the Melbourne Cup.

Flinders Lane is a good place for art galleries but the city has a whole arts area to explore. For culture with a twist and open air try the Sculpture Walk at Werribee Park.

Regular live music and a wide variety of restaurants offering international cuisine all provide city based diversions as a break from touring the many attractions outside the city.

By managing the exploration at a relaxed pace using mini bus hire in Melbourne the visitor will be ready to drive on to explore the attractions of Adelaide further along the Grand Ocean Route
